Parking Surveys

Road Authorities and/or local councils will ask for a Parking Survey to be undertaken for most Development Applications/Planning Permit Applications where there is a need to assess the impact of the development on the surrounding car parking facilities including street parking. Parking surveys are often combined together with Parking Demand Assessments and Traffic Impact Assessments. RedSquare Traffic team will go out on-site and conduct several parking surveys under different conditions to assess the current parking demands in the area.

Traffic Counts and Surveys

Road Authorities and/or local councils will ask for traffic counts and surveys for various reasons as part of Development Applications/Planning Permit Applications. These are often combined together with Traffic Impact Assessments. A traffic count measures how many cars, buses or trams travel through a certain location during a given period of time. RedSquare Traffic team will go out on-site and conduct several traffic counts under different conditions to assess existing conditions.

​Intersection Turning Movement Counts

These types of counts and surveys measure the turning movements undertaken at a certain intersection. These counts will help you to determine existing movements which occur in that intersection and will assist with developing your designs.

Pedestrian, Cyclist and Public Transport Surveys

These surveys measure how many pedestrians, cyclists or public transport passengers travel through a certain location/use a certain mode of public transport during a given period of time. RedSquare Traffic team will go out on-site and conduct several counts under different conditions to assess existing conditions.
