RedSquare Traffic conducted a comprehensive project for La Trobe University Bundoora, which involved capturing travel mode choice surveys over several days. The surveys were conducted across more than 15 access points to the campus, gathering valuable data on how people commute to and from the university. Additionally, origin-destination surveys were carried out to analyse travel patterns and better understand the flow of people entering and leaving the campus. The objectives of the project were to capture the total number of attendees entering the university on a typical weekday, understand the popularity of different travel modes, analsze the number of attendees entering through each access point, and examine influx levels based on the time of arrival at the campus. This data collection initiative provided detailed insights into transportation trends at La Trobe University. The results will also play a key role in supporting the university’s sustainability goals by informing strategies to optimize transportation choices and reduce the environmental impact of commuting.
